Kobe Bryant’s Nike Air Force 1 Will Soon Celebrate His Favorite Soccer Team

Kobe Bryant‘s series of Nike Air Force 1s is becoming quite fruitful in 2025, as his recent “Soft Yellow” release inspired by a shootaround appearance in pajamas is expected to be followed up with at least three colorways making use of a snakeskin texture. Yet another variant has now surfaced, and it pays homage to one of Bryant’s favorite soccer teams.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Kobe x FC Barcelona” is a collision of motifs from the Los Angeles Lakers and one of the world’s most famous soccer clubs. While draped almost entirely in purple, including a snakeskin upper just like the forthcoming “Court Purple” AF1 Low, the sneaker adds the FC Barcelona badge to the tongue and insole. Bryant’s Nike logo reforms the heel, and on the midsole, you’ll find his raised signature in place of the usual “Air” mark.

Just like the “Court Yellow” edition, the Barcelona-branded sneaker will include a drop-in insole that essentially brings a Protro upgrade similar to the Nike Kobe line of signature sneakers.

A first look at the sneaker was revealed by the reseller known as solesbyzay on Instagram, who got a sample of the shoe in a size 11 and is accepting offers on it.

Bryant was known to support both FC Barcelona and AC Milan, but it’s only the former club that’s sponsored by Nike (Milan is a Puma team). This sneaker will only be a piece of a larger “Mamba” collection for FC Barcelona, in fact, which is also expected to include a Kobe-branded kit along with a wider range of apparel.

In July, a long-awaited Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Total Orange” will release while being modeled after a WNBA hoodie Bryant wore while sitting courtside at an NBA game with his daughter. Caitlin Clark’s first player-exclusive sneaker, a special edition of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro, is also slated to release on the final day of June.

A release date hasn’t yet been confirmed for the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Kobe x FC Barcelona,” but it’s expected to launch this year at some point during Barcelona’s forthcoming season. Pricing is set at $150.
