High above the streets on the 41st floor of a Manhattan skyscraper, Moncler hosted its third open-format experiential footwear space, Studio Ascenti, to showcase its new fall/winter 2025 collection.

The roving, multi-station event, featured story-telling moments that highlighted next season’s shoe collection and the evolution of Moncler’s Trailgrip footwear series.

The space also came equipped with scenic wear testing zones where guests could try on and experience the full range of fall/winter 2025 footwear and engage with its design and performance firsthand. And expansive digital screens served as mountain-inspired backdrops, offering a studio-like environment for content creation.

As for the what’s new, Moncler’s Altive boot served as the centerpiece of what’s to come from the outdoor brand. The mid-calf style features a padded nylon upper, puller lacing system and a Vibram sole. And as the company said, the new style “provides all the warmth and comfort of Moncler’s signature outerwear in a boot.”

Moncler also showcased its growing Trailgrip family, featuring the new low-profile Trailgrip LP sneaker that has been softened into a more curved silhouette and will release in early spring 2026. The new Trailgrip Apex2 GTX, is returning this fall with a refreshed design including a cleaner silhouette, tonal colorway, nubuck side panels, “caviar” textured leather accents and metallic eyelets.

Other highlights included the Trailgrip SD sandal, a slide-on silhouette that is engineered with Cordura mesh and secured by an adjustable strap closure, and the Trailgrip Lite3, which features a knit upper for a slip-on sneaker function and includes suede side panels, nubuck bands and metal hardware.

Following the exhibition, Moncler brand ambassador and musician Tobe Nwigwe gave a surprise performance. The song was a stripped-down, soulful performance inspired by the spirit of the Trailgrip.

Nwigwe, who has a collaborative Trailgrip sneaker with Moncler, spoke to FN after the performance. “My Trailgrip MoMint is inspired by every single moment that I’ve had in my artistry leading up to moment that this project came to life,” he told FN. “The stitching on the right side of the shoe highlights the complex nature of me and a very unique detail that I hold dear and is my favorite part of the sneaker.”

And as for why he loves to team up with Moncler, Nwigwe said it comes down to the people. “Moncler has a vision like I have, and it feels like a family affair every time we do something,” the Been Broke singer said. “Plus, the team is just really good people!”
