Inside On’s First Store in Spain on Madrid’s Famous ‘Golden Mile’

On has opened its first store in Spain as the Swiss brand continues to expand globally.
Located at Calle Serrano 17 in Madrid, the approximately 2,700-square-foot store spans two floors and is part of the city’s famous “Golden Mile” in the upscale Salamanca district.
According to the company, the new store will offer On’s full range of shoes, apparel, and accessories for high-performance running, outdoor activities, training, all-day use, and tennis. The store will also serve as a central hub for the local community, offering weekly run clubs at 7 p.m. every Wednesday and various movement activities throughout the year.
Bianca Pestalozzi-Houchangnia, general manager of EMEA at On, said in a statement that Spain represents a “significant opportunity” for the company to expand its global reach and solidify its premium positioning in the sports industry.
“The location is right along the San Silvestre Vallecana run, which attracts tens of thousands of runners every year, and is ideal to enhance our premium presence and boost brand recognition in Spain’s capital,” Pestalozzi-Houchangnia noted. “We are looking forward to building strong connections with Madrid’s energetic community of runners and sports enthusiasts.”

Just days before its Madrid opening, On unveiled its first store in Mexico, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s continued growth and expansion in Latin America. Located at 111 Avenida Presidente Masaryk, the street is known for being a high-end, bustling hub filled with world-class restaurants and boutiques.
The Mexico City store is On’s second Latin American location following its Chile debut in August 2024, with more locations set to open in Brazil in 2026.
Fiorella Palacios, general manager of Latin America for On, noted in a statement last week that the company’s new Mexico City store is “a powerful symbol” of what’s happening across Latin America right now.
“Latin America currently has the highest brand awareness for On anywhere in the world, and we’re embracing that energy by expanding our presence and creating authentic experiences for our customers,” Palacios said. “We’re building something special together — and we’re only just getting started.”

These new stores follow other recent global openings for On in Zurich, Switzerland; Seoul, South Korea; and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this month, On said its net income in the third quarter rose 289.8 percent to 118.9 million Swiss francs on a net sales gain of 24.9 percent to 794.4 million Swiss francs.
