Aldo’s Jonathan Frankel Named Board Chair of Two Ten Footwear Foundation

Jonathan Frankel, president of Aldo Product Services at the Aldo Group, is adding board chair of the Two Ten Footwear Foundation to his daily duties.
Frankel succeeds Joe Preston, president and chief executive officer of New Balance, who has served as board chair since 2024. Along with Frankel’s appointment, Two Ten has also named Ed Rosenfeld, chairman and chief executive officer of Steve Madden, as its new board vice chair.
Shawn Osborne, president and chief executive officer of Two Ten, said in a statement that he is “excited to welcome in the next era of leadership” to the board.
“Under Joe’s direction, Two Ten delivered an exceptional relief response after several large-scale natural disasters and expanded professional development programs for women and HR professionals in footwear,” Osborne noted. “Jonathan and Ed bring a deep passion for our mission, as well as extraordinary industry experience. With both at the helm of our board, I see a bright future for Two Ten and the footwear industry at large.”
In addition to his Aldo Product Services responsibilities, Frankel also serves as president of the Sperry brand in North America as well as G.H. Bass. Having served on the board of directors at Two Ten since 2017, Frankel helped raise more than $200,000 for the organization as a member of the Aldo Racing Team that completed the Race Across America.
“Two Ten has supported the people of our industry for nearly a century, and I’m honored to steward this organization into its next chapter,” Frankel added. “I stand on the shoulders of the incredible leaders who came before me and built the foundation we have today. As chair, my focus will be expanding our reach and ensuring no one in the footwear community faces life’s challenges alone. Supporting the people who power this industry is both our responsibility and our privilege.”
As for Rosenfeld, he joined Two Ten’s board of directors in 2024 and has been a champion of the foundation’s mission. He was also a member of the board of directors of PVH Corp., the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) and Summer Search New York.
“I’m honored to serve as vice chair of the Two Ten Foundation board alongside an exceptional group of industry leaders,” Rosenfeld said. “The Foundation’s mission of supporting footwear professionals and strengthening our community is deeply meaningful, and I look forward to working with our partners to expand resources and opportunities for colleagues across the industry.”
Osborne added that with this transition in board leadership, Two Ten is also beginning a new tradition of recognizing its outgoing board chair by awarding a scholarship in his or her name.
“Last month we established the Two Ten Board Chair Emeritus Scholarship, an endowed scholarship fund that will create a lasting legacy, honoring the leadership and commitment of a Two Ten board chair by supporting a footwear employee seeking higher education,” Osborne said. “Joe Preston is the first outgoing chair to be recognized in this way.”
Two Ten Footwear Foundation serves the nation’s 330,000 footwear employees through financial assistance, scholarships, professional development, and community programs. In its most recent fiscal year, Two Ten provided over $1.1 million in disaster relief to footwear families recovering from crises, including rapid response support following hurricane Helene, which impacted footwear employees across the Southeast.
