Grenson and Copenhagen-based label NN.07 are jumping on the loafer mule trend with a new shoe collaboration.

Set to launch later this month, the NN.07 + Grenson moccasin mule is made from soft napa leather and features a hand-stitched gathered apron and a flexible leather sole.

“NN.07 is a brand that we have always loved, so when we first met them and realized that they are as cool as their brand, we were immediately excited by the idea of collaborating,” Tim Little, chief executive officer and creative director at Grenson, told FN.

Little added that the shoe the teams developed together “perfectly draws” from Grenson’s long history of making genuine moccasins dating back to the 1960s and NN.07’s design aesthetic. “This is a collaboration where two brands bring their own DNA to create something special,” Little said.

For Gustav Emil Loft, public relations and collaborations manager at NN.07, the launch is a “super exciting” one. “This collaboration truly embodies the spirit of co-creation and timelessness we are trying to achieve with our collaborative projects, and we can’t wait to show it to the world,” Emil Loft added. “The silhouette is brought back to life from the archives, and we are happy to be a part of the return of the Grenson Mule, and put our spin on the silhouette.”

This debut is the latest footwear collaboration for NN.07. In January, the men’s brand reimaged two Clarks Originals signature styles, the Wallabee and the Desert boot. In October, NN.07 released its second collection with Fracap, which featured a special-edition release of the Italian footwear brand’s signature M121 shoe. The release came one year after the duo dropped their first project in October 2024.

And last May, NN.07 released a follow-up collaboration with Sebago centered around the brand’s signature Docksides Portland model. The result was a cream white version of the boat shoe silhouette, crafted in crocodile-embossed leather.

The NN.07 + Grenson moccasin mule will be available in limited quantities from May 13 exclusively on NN07.com, in all NN.07 flagships worldwide and on Grenson.com.
