Tecovas Inks New Partnership With Bass Pro Shops

Tecovas is continuing to build out its wholesale distribution with a new retail partnership with Bass Pro Shops.

Starting this summer, the Austin-based company will offer its Western footwear, accessories and clothing at select Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s locations across North America and online at Basspro.com.

The first shop-in-shop locations will debut at Bass Pro Shops’ “Grandaddy” store in Springfield, Mo., followed by the new Sayreville, N.J., location expected to open this fall.

At launch, Tecovas will be available in eight additional Bass Pro Shops locations: Fort Myers, Fla.; Hamburg, Pa.; Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Acworth, Ga.; Glendale, Ariz.; Hoffman Estates, Ill.; Buda, Texas; and Abbotsford, British Columbia.

David Lafitte, chief executive officer and president of Tecovas, called Bass Pro Shops in a statement an “an iconic American brand with a deep understanding of what it means to be a true brand steward.”

“We share a love for the West, a commitment to quality, and a belief that every customer deserves something extraordinary,” Lafitte noted. “This is a culturally relevant, long-term partnership between two like-minded brands, and together we’re bringing something genuinely special to outdoor enthusiasts across the country.”

Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops, added that the retailer is “proud” to celebrate this new partnership with Tecovas. “We’re grateful to welcome them in and share their legendary products with our customers,” Morris said.

In tandem with the retail announcement, Tecovas said it will become the official boot of the Missouri Thunder, the professional bull riding (PBR) team franchise owned by Bass Pro Shops. Tecovas noted that it will activate throughout the PBR Teams Series season and during Missouri Thunder Days September 4-6 at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Mo.

This news comes just over one year after Tecovas inked its first national retail partnership with Nordstrom. In May 2025, Tecovas noted that the initial rollout at Nordstrom featured women’s and men’s styles in 10 locations.

Tecovas first entered into wholesale in 2024 through a select group of 9 specialty retailers, reaching 36 store locations across 10 states, including Texas, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Carolina, North Carolina, Arizona, Georgia and Michigan.

Among the notable retail partners at the time were National Roper Supply, Lebo’s, Texas Boot Company, Boots Etc., Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply, Howell Western Wear, Bullocks Western Store, Crossbow and Junk Gypsy.
