The Shoes That Defined Barbara Palvin’s Maternity Style at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival

Barbara Palvin used the 2026 Cannes Film Festival to announce her first pregnancy. With the help of Miu Miu, the model and her husband, Dylan Sprouse, revealed that they were expecting their first child together while attending the “Histoires Parallèles (Parallel Tales)” screening on Thursday.
Every look she has worn since has highlighted her growing bump, while she has also flattered her feet with high heels and sandals that have elevated her looks. From Jimmy Choo to Roberto Cavalli, Palvin has used footwear as a way to add a flattering detail to her captivating maternity looks.

She has also not been afraid to slip into towering heels during the festival, despite all the walking and stair climbing the events require. Take a look at some of her shoe moments at the festival so far.
She stepped out on the red carpet with a custom Miu Miu gown in a charming baby blue color that made her blue eyes pop. The dress featured an empire waist and a square neckline with cap shoulders. She paired the long and feathered gown with a pair of Miu Miu black patent leather sandals.

The classic open-toe sandal silhouette blends with Miu Miu’s rebellious soul with the brand’s small buckles that are often found in their footwear designs. The sandals stand tall on a four-inch heel. The shoe style retails for $1,240.
The couple were spotted at Hotel Martinez on Friday in Cannes before attending a screening of “Karma.” She walked down the red carpet wearing a white button-down with a black skirt look by Karl Lagerfeld. The mode paired the look with the Jimmy Choo Brigitte 120 black satin pumps, which she wore with a few of her looks.

The Brigitte pumps are crafted in glossy satin, and are shaped with signature curvature to a sleek pointed toe and structured with a high-cut vamp and d’orsay cutout on the inside that contours the foot. The 120mm stiletto heel elongates the silhouette, while the distinctive stitched band across the toe adds definition.
The Brigitte pumps are quickly becoming a go-to pump style on the red carpet, providing a more sleek and sexier alternative to the classic pointed toe pump. Nikki Glaser wore a satin pink pair on the red carpet at the Golden Globes in January, Priyanka Chopra wore them in black to the Academy Awards, and Olivia Rodrigo wore them in cream to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Palvin also attended the Nespresso x Dua Lipa photocall at the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival at Nespresso Beach, which also took place on Friday. For the event, she wore the Jimmy Choo Brigitte 120 black satin pumps again. The black heels retail for $895.
This time around, she paired the classic shoe style with a mini lace dress by Salih Balta. The shoes paired well with her black off-the-shoulder velvet minidress, which featured lace panels on the bodice and skirt, as well as flared bell sleeves with some fringed strips hanging from them.

While her red carpet looks were on point, her relaxed, street-style outfits weren’t far behind. The model stepped out at the popular Hotel Martinez wearing a casual look that included black capris pants with a light blue plaid oversized shirt.
The real stars of the show, though, were here Jimmy Choo Jelly Drop 50 silver glitter jelly sandals, which retail for $595. The Jelly Drop mule sandal is crafted with silver glitter TPU that gives it a translucent finish infused with fine shimmer.

The slip-on silhouette features intersecting straps that cross over the foot and a softly rounded open toe. The shoes are set on a two-inch sculpted drop heel, while the tonal TPU sole is finished with textured grip detailing for stability. She completed the look with sunglasses and the Jimmy Choo Bar Holdall bag.
