Action Bronson Teases His Most Colorful New Balance Collaboration Yet
After previewing an upcoming New Balance 990v6 collaboration in October, rapper Action Bronson teased Wednesday another upcoming style of the sneaker.
On his official @bambambaklava Instagram account, Action Bronson offered up the best look yet at his New Balance 990v6 “Amazõnia” sneaker. Clad in fluorescent colors, the sneaker sports a mostly pink mesh upper which is accented with blue, teal and brown suede overlays. A darker red shade covers the tongue and liner, while the midsole mixes gray, tan and white for a tritone look.
Along with the best look yet at the New Balance 990v6 “Amazõnia” colorway, Action Bronson shared a side-by-side comparison with the 990v6 “Baklava,” his debut New Balance collaboration, on his story. Coloring aside, the biggest difference between the two shoes is their choice of mesh, with the newer “Amazõnia” style using a wide-gauge material compared to the standard mesh seen on most 990v6s.
The newly surfaced “Amazõnia” colorway isn’t the only Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 set to be released in 2025. In October, the artist teased another iteration of the sneaker in a mostly white “Hi-Pink/Royal Blue” makeup with colorful accents throughout. And in November, Action Bronson shared a closer look at that style, captioning the image “2025 breakthrough performance.”
Action Bronson’s New Balance collaborations have proven popular among collectors. In June 2024, following the introduction of his New Balance 1906R collaboration, the rapper said he was “doing his best” to make the launches as fair as possible.
Specific launch details for the new Action Bronson x New Balance 990v6 colorways have not been confirmed, but readers can count on more information being announced soon. The rapper’s previous New Balance 990v6 projects have been priced at $220 each and were launched in staggered intervals, with one arriving in March 2023 and the second in June ’23.
Releases for the latest 990v6 colorways will likely take place from Action Bronson’s Specializing in Life e-commerce store, New Balance’s website and select global retailers.
